My name is Karina and I live in Randers, Denmark. I have my roots here and except from a few shorter periods of my life this is where I am, when I'm home geographically. Even though Randers is the 6th biggest city in Denmark, it's still just a town compared to international standards, inhabiting only approx. 60,000 people.
Randers not only brings me close to most of my family, it also brings me a nice mixture of urban life and nature. The only real river in Denmark floats through here and it only requires a 10 minute walk from the center of the city to reach the most quiet areas of the meadows along the river.
Even though Randers geographically is my home, parts of my heart also feel at home in Brisbane, Australia, and Cincinnati, USA, where I've lived a few months while studying. Lately I happened to leave another bit of my heart in New York City, so yeah... I love big cities, the activity always going on there and I really feel like I belong such places, but in the end there's no place like home. My home is where my heart is, where my family is, where my friends are and where I can enjoy my favorite music, and as you can see that varies a lot.
